New Game of the Week: Grand Spinn & Grand Spinn Superpot

NetEnt did something very different with its latest online slot releases. Grand Spinn is a 3-reel game that takes players back to a more basic version of slot machine play, while adding more glamour than players typically find in such a game. The Art Deco-style slot game is a throwback to the 1920s, nearly 100 years ago, when style could take simplicity to another level.

And the online games designer took Grand Spinn to new heights. NetEnt released Grand Spinn as an exciting new slot title, but it also released a companion game called Grand Spinn Superpot that offers a progressive jackpot.

Of course, NetEnt already offers jackpot games like Mega Fortune, Hall of Gods, and Divine Fortune, but Grand Spinn Superpot is pegged to become yet another hit.

NetEnt Director of Games Bryan Upton noted: “Players might be stepping back to the 1920s in our Art Deco-inspired Grand Spinn, but the size of the potential prizes and jackpots on offer in Grand Spinn Superpot are very much from the 21st century. As a dual release, no matter a player’s payout style preference, there’s a version for them. There is a strong need for simple yet entertaining games with unique features; these two games do exactly that, with some style, of course!”

About Grand Spinn

Grand Spinn is a 3-reel game with three rows but only with one fixed payline. As such, it harksback to the old-fashioned slot machine.

There are three jackpots available:

  • Mini jackpot = 40x bet
  • Midi jackpot = 200x bet
  • Mega jackpot = 10,000x bet

Multiplier wilds can appear on any reel and substitute for all symbols. One multiplier wild on the bet line works as a 2x multiplier, two wilds make it 4x, and all three reels puts the multiplier at 8x.

The payouts for the symbols that may appear on the reels are as follows:

  • Triple 7 = 20 for 3 symbols
  • Watermelon = 10 for 3 symbols
  • Oranges = 5 for 3 symbols
  • Plums = 3 for 3 symbols
  • Cherries = 2 for 3 symbols
  • Bar = 1 for 3 symbols

It should also be noted that blank symbols can appear on the payline, and they pay nothing.

The minimum bet is 2 tokens at Level 1, but players can move up:

  • 2 Level = 4
  • 3 Level = 6
  • 4 Level = 8
  • 5 Level = 10
  • 6 Level = 12
  • 7 Level = 14
  • 8 Level = 16
  • 9 Level = 18
  • 10 Level = 20

With a coin level set at the lowest value of $0.01, the minimum bet is therefore $0.02. But coin values can be increased to $0.02, $0.05, $0.10, $0.20, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $5.00, and $10.00. That puts the maximum bet at $200.00.

How to Play This 3-Reel Classic Slot

Players can spin each time or use the autoplay function to perform anywhere from 10 to 1,000 spins automatically. There are also options for using a quicker spin, shutting off the intro screen, and using the spacebar to spin.

One of the best features of Grand Spinn is the Nudge. Every time a winning combination hits on the payline, the Nudge is activated. The payline first pays the original win. Then, if there is another winning symbol above the one on the first reel, it will nudge into place and pay again. That will continue until there are no more winning symbols above. The same process will subsequently take place on the second reel and third reel.

When a reel stops nudging but there is an arrow symbol on the payline, that reel will move to the bottom of the current stack and the win counted upward again. The reels then repeat the nudging process.

In terms of jackpot payouts, there is a way to win without getting the jackpot symbols all on the main payline. When a nudge is complete and jackpot symbols are at the top of each reel, the player will be awarded the lowest paying jackpot of all of the symbols. This can happen even if there is no winning combination on the payline but jackpot symbols appear above that line.

Where to Play Grand Spinn

Players may tend to think that the single payline wouldn’t be worth the time, but the nudging reels makes all the difference. A nudge can lead to many more nudges and add up to big wins.

The return-to-player on Grand Spinn is 96.19%.

All of the NetEnt partner casinos are offering Grand Spinn and Grand Spin Superpot, most notably LeoVegas and Play Amo, as well as 888casino.
